Thank you so much for spreading the word on the core workout, Kim.

🙏🙏

It’s had a lot of great feedback from fellow sit-up loathers!

Let me know how you go!

If you send it out I am sure to get more feedback 😂

I hate core too but having injured my toe a few years back, and gotten into pilates, I see the benefits.

Do tell! what in particular improved with more core...we all understand better through example :)

First off not falling! My ankle would generally fold inward and I’d fall. This was happening pretty much annually for as long as I can remember. And often I heard that I have weak ankles but what has helped most is strengthening my glutes, core and thighs (hip abductors etc). These all contribute to better overall stability

This is great to share, Beth! Bc we all are aging and need to think about how our bodies will react to it. Whatever “it” is. Weak ankles, old injuries, hunching, etc. Thank you for adding to the convo!

I printed out the Road Trip Younger total core workout download too! It’s a great reminder on off days where I’m not using Peloton pilates

that’s a great idea, Beth! I do better with print outs, too. All this working out chat makes me realize I need to get on it!!

Pilates and functional training is the way forward, and I’m so happy I can now go back to working out regularly! My right ankle used to give way regularly, just crunch and sprain for no reason .

This is a good point..the "I wish I had started earlier..." I know I am going to feel that way about weight lifiting and yet I cannot seem to get myself to lift those 10 lb handweights...I used to be so good about it...maybe it's a lack of energy and maybe that is due to screen time....drat!!

Hip bridges, planks and crunches are great.

Core Smore-oh yes please!! I swim masters 3 mornings a week. Take a class after that. Love the swim- meh with the class but it’s all to service the necessity of whipped cream and other good things!

Is only I liked to swim!!! what a gift that is, Molly. It's a real full body, low impact sport. But, I loath being cold and most pools are freezing. But I sure love whipped cream!! Core 'smore....
