and to the two lists from last year
The photo above is part of the Marvy Holiday Market in the SOWA area of Boston, which happens to be where my studio is! Pel and I went and had a few beers and a Croque Monsieur. We did a fair amount of gift buying, too! Below are some of our favorites.
NEW ITEMS FOR YOUR GIFTING PLEASURE!!
Benoit’s Design Co.
Love this group! They do incredible maps burned into wood of every ski mountain in the US and Canada, and of lakes, too! Fun to hang on your cabin wall. Very attractive! They also do funny felt flags and banners, I am displaying my favorite below. There is much more to this family owned business, run by a woman named Christina out of Westbrook, Maine. Check out their site! Link
Speakeasy Travel Supply: The World’s Best Travel Scarf!
who knew? It’s a scarf with a zippered pocket to keep your valuables safe from pick pocketers. Made for travel, or just down the street! Different and far more stylish than the sweaty stomach skinny zipper pouch that I have. Link
Kathryn Dziadowicz Art, Ocean inspired resin art
She has done some amazing things to wood cheese boards and other useful items. Perfect for gifting your favorite beach lover! Check her out!! Link
Do you know any women who are trying to navigate that “Now what?!” phase of life with positivity and humor? Or maybe you just want to drop a hint for something on this list? Share this post with a friend!
Sharron Schindler Photography
Sharron sells items with gorgeous photos she has taken around Boston or at the Brimfield Fair. She captures images of yon like old typewriters, bowling shoes, and cameras, then prints them on birchwood. She also does coasters and trivets which are a perfect hostess gift for those festive events you’ll be attending this month. Click here to see her site! Link
McCrea’s Caramel.
All I can say is YUM! I am eating a caramel with rosemary and truffle oil, right now! There are a number of flavors sold in attractive packaging. McCrea’s is woman owned and based here in Boston! I may have to give her a call Link
Have any great gift ideas you think I should write about? Leave me a comment below!
Smittens! Handmade Upcycled and repurposed sweater mittens. Link
This guy made us smile. His and his wife’s business is heart and hand warming. You know someone who needs mittens.
Esthetic Living, makes Swedish dish cloths.
Not just any old dish cloth. These are super cool. Attractive and durable. When you get the bundle as a gift there is a dish cloth, and two sponge like squares. LINK
Here is what they say… our dishcloths are guaranteed to bring fresh Scandinavian style into your kitchen. Used in Swedish kitchens since the 1950’s, these tried and trusted dishcloths are made of all natural and renewable materials. Highly durable, they are great for washing up, general cleaning and mopping up spills. Matching kitchen towels are available to keep your kitchen looking smart and coordinated. LINK
Uniek Living!
A wonderful unique collection of modern home and lifestyle products from the Netherlands. Below is a photo of an extra light cashmere scarf that comes in lovely earthy tones. LINK Also, and this is more for “him” because I am told they are man sized until further notice, check out this leather apron! Very manly and available through Uniek LINK.
Stitch and Tickle!
These bags are fantastic. Here is the popular cross body/fanny pack. Personally, I prefer their larger bags. Check out their web site for some greta gift giving!
Do you know any art lovers?
I am doing paintings of floral bursts (and Moroccan rug themes, too). They are jubilant, happy, organic and LARGE. Here is my site with these adorable cards seen below (selling like hotcakes! just tell me which ones you want and how many of each @$6 a card) and joyful paintings. LINK
If you’re in Boston, come on by the studio this weekend, 12-7pm for me today and Sunday 11-8pm. Then we start again next week! Weds, thurs. 4-8 fri 4-9 etc.
That’s all for now. Have any great ideas for gifting? Leave a comment or e-mail me;)
