That part isn't a problem..been doing it every single Sunday for three years. People stop me on the street to talk. People call me. It is incredibly fulfilling. I love it and am driven to do it...just thought I'd see what people had to say in the office hours, b/c I haven't participated much before. I know these people can help eachother, too. and thank you for leaving a comment! hahahahah I don't know how to put an laughing face here...but know that I am...
It's important to embrace change. Just like you realize you weren't the same person in your 20's that you were in your 40's- the same will be true going forward. . How do you want to change from you 40/50s to you 60/70s. My parents had some qualities that I actively try to posses and others we are trying to bury. You have more control over who you become if you realize you aren't done.
So true. I am so glad I am not the same person now as when I was 20 or 30! I honestly think the clouds started to clear around 45. Sometimes we forget to think about what's going on. Weeks zoom by. Personally, I find I feel out of control and unable to plan b/c I do not know what I will be doing because I know my husband wants to be based in New Hampshire. I love it too, but I have a studio in Boston,I have two sets of parents here. I need to be here. It's so different than a few years ago when kids were in school and we were stuck here. There wasn't a choice to be based anywhere else. Thank you so much for commenting, Djamila!!
As I said above, I do feel untethered these days. Without a set schedule like when kids were in school, the weeks loose their shape and ooze by like liquid. Monday is not really different from Friday. we can work online 24 hours a day. I need to work on structure which means I need to adopt discipline.....eeek! Thank you for commenting, Amethyst!!!
Yes, one would actually say Kim...that I’m a relative PIA...amongst my friends both female and male, I enjoy a good conversation and I will not shy away from comments😉👍🏻
I am leaving a comment😊 Just read this and have had so many of the same thoughts. I think being present and enjoying what you are doing is its own contribution to society. For example, writing - you never know what might resonate, bring a smile to someone’s face or impact someone on a deeper level.
agreed!!! Amethyst, that's worth everything....thank you for commenting b/c it might help others to be less shy...then, someone might say something that resonates with someone:)

This is true...I really appreciate the growth and change over time-and then, I have my moments where I struggle, as we all do.
