✈️ We put a kid on a plane early this morning, well, actually, my husband did. I was back asleep after saying ‘goodbye’ from my flannel nest and sweet dreams. The point being, one of our kids left to join a friend a plane ride away.
Still dark out, she left our home with her rolley bag and backpack. Hopped in the car and was dropped at the airport. Hugged her Dad goodbye, she rolled into the terminal. Too big for the overhead because she likes to have options, she checked her bag and went through security. I wonder if she got pulled over for putting something with over 3.4 oz in her carry on? Nah, I doubt it. She is a travel pro at this point. She meandered to her gate and on the way probably bought a coffee (iced even in winter). Then she sat and undoubtedly scrolled her phone. Did she pack that Graham Greene book I gave her for Christmas? She liked the look of the rough cut pages. No. She did not. It’s in her room, but she is not. My girl.
