Who should I interview next? I doesn't have to be some big deal, famous person, just someone who is trying something new after 50! It could be volunteering at a voting location, teaching Mahjong, walking the number of miles in a year, learning a new vocation, you name it....
Congrats on FIVE YEARS! Such an amazing milestone. There's so much to celebrate when you've built such a deep body of work! I would love to see you interview Heather Cox Richardson--she gave a talk at the Old North Church last year that was absolutely riveting. I'd love to hear what she thinks of our current world! xo
I'm down, as my girls say to anything they are keen to do...I'm such a nerd. But, so are you. Great, beautiful nerds shine a little later in life! And thank you!! I will look up Heather...I think I was supposed to do that a while ago!! :)
There's always an upside to talking to cool women IMHO. 😊
Also, I feel like a total fraud because I answered your Maven5Q without being aware of the "over 50" requirement! I'm 45, which if you flip it around makes me 54, and I love what you do here and think this was an awesome reflection post on FIVE years of solid work making stuff for mid-life ladies to enjoy. Here's to another 5 years, after which I will officially be over 50 and would jump at the chance to interview with you about whatever weird crap I've gotten myself into. 💜💜
You're on, Meg! Love to get back to our interview! I think 45 squeaks by as "midlife" but it's really 55 that rings the bell of awakening...kids are clearing out of the house, body is a wonderland of surprises including the House of Horrors and the roller coaster!
Of course! The women in my family have been historically early bloomers when it comes to the "pause" (aka the horrors). It's been a roller coaster of a year for me mentally/physically... even at 45 (46 in January.) Not that I'm in a hurry.😊
Congratulations on 5 years! Your clarity and conviction of purpose is admirable!! Don't change the name....we midlife women neeeed a survival guide. ☘️❤️
Thank you, Catherine! I wondered how this whole thing came off to readers, you know? It's hard to know sometimes...I can't help but do it to see where it leads. I am psyched to fire up some new things...let's get the New England in person event a go for January!
So many great ideas! I would do a book club if the story is about a historical woman (or women). Ie— recent reads— Becoming Madame Secretary, The Churchill Sisters…

Thank you for being a part of the WSG ecosystem!
