I am joking about the acronym the END (empty nest disorder) ...just thought it was funny. I am not looking at the kids growing up and leaving as a bad thing.

Great piece! I just became an empty nester and I moved to the beach- just me and my dog. Even with that, I can identify 100%. I feel like I should be doing more with my time, but then again, I really don’t care. LOL. I work FT and telecommute so my daily commute consists of 3 steps. I love being able to sleep and define my own schedule.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

that sounds dreamy, Jen. It's hard to see through all the possibilities initially or hard to imagine it's possible to just do something different! thank you so much for commenting.

Kim, Loved this read. I must admit I live in fear of not having flexibility yet I like a busy schedule

Can’t always have both. Looking forward to catching up on all your beautiful writing now that kids are back to school

Please let me know when you are coming this way. Love to share ideas with you! I think you nailed out...we want flexibility, but not so much that we have nothing to do, or nothing that we have to do...a schedule is a good thing...thank you for commenting!!
