Oh I have several piles of holiday crap to be decrapped. Including our artificial tree which is still completely intact and fully decorated. I had my husband move one of the festive piles into our basement on Sunday when we had family coming over to watch the Patriots game. But it's still very much a pile and not properly put away. Also have yet to put away all of our wrapping, gift bags, boxes. But again they're in the basement... So out of sight out of mind??? The funniest thing is I took all of the battery operated candles out of the windows and corralled them on the desk in our living room. About half of them still have functioning batteries and come on at 5:00 p.m. every night. They just light up the desk for 6 hours because we figure there's no point in saving batteries that only have a handful of hours left to give, So we're just waiting for them all to die so we can throw them away. 😭 Talk about a waste! Ugh! 😭

Nooooooo! inoove the idea of the candles still going on despite being out away-ish. So funny. Put them in the bathrooms for ambient personal time?

Ugh. Did you ask why the crack happened? Grinding at night? Osteoporosis? Would be good to know.

I think it is an old filling that was a big one. Just the way it goes.

Wow! January has not been kind to you! I completely related to your dental horrors. I had a bad crown experience a couple of months ago and now I’m re-afraid of going in next week for my regular cleaning in case they find any other problems to torture me with. I suppose it’s all better than the alternative… I have been cutting back on ye olde’ holiday hooplah these past few years. Paring down the decor (mainly focusing on winter decor instead of full-on holiday stuff). It allows me to leave it up through Valentines/until the snow melts. I got tired of the January mess to deal with so I have become a minimalist with holiday gift giving. I still like reorganizing and filtering out junk in January/February. And also like to tackling indoor painting projects (since it’s cozy time).

Ah so you have the dental fear factor I do… here is my advice: ask your friends who love their dentist and who actually know their dentist and switch. You’ll start on a happier level with more trust. I had to switch and it makes my life more calm. But I will try hard not to forget the xanax next time. Just a nibble. I have never used it before but the physical stress I create for myself while in the chair cannot be good for me or the dentist.

And I love the holidays but make too much work for myself. Then I get annoyed about it then I get to clean it up but I don’t seem to ask for help either.

I recently had to have a tooth pulled because it was being “reabsorbed” and the process is still totally medieval. Ugh.

Like I said, it’s old fashioned. You’d think they’d give you something but then again, they don’t give a woman anything for an IUD or earn her it’s painful.. so, I guess it’s medicine. Sorry for your tooth situation and hope it’s your last!!

Not last tooth, last one pulled. 😂

Fingers crossed!

I just read my MMITC questions and I have one thing to say to myself: meno-brain. I may think it’s the piles that are distracting but it really could be the menopause brain. I’m amazed at how hard it is to think sometimes. But other times it’s like a runaway train! I could rule the world! How about you?

The tooth and the tires, not a good week. I hope you're feeling back to your self and zipping around in a car with good tires.

I am proud to say I am fully de-Christmased👏👏👏
